The Senior Technical Writer will be responsible for the following tasks:
· Interview program users to define operational policies and procedures;
· Perform planning and designing of operational procedural guides and system user documentation and training;
· Assist in the development of operational policy and procedure manual;
· Work closely with Business Analysts to obtain direct experience with the ADP application;
· Review workflows, use cases and other project documents to capture user documentation requirements;
· Design and Develop the ADP system user manual;
· Develop information system documentation
· Develop appropriate courseware for application training where necessary including:
Ø Trainers guide, and/or
Ø Course workbook and other supporting documentation
· Assist program business analysts in the writing of project publication materials for the Project web site;
· Coordinate and conduct application training sessions to ADP system end-users;
· Assist with system and user testing, including creation of test cases and test scenarios;
· Participate in weekly team status meetings and other group meetings to achieve training objectives;
· Identify and resolve barriers to the success of the project's training initiative
· Document the above deliverables in accordance with HSC standard methodologies and templates;
· Transfer skills and knowledge
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
· Business process and workflow analysis operational policy and procedures expertise;
· Successful development of training courseware on various media;
· Experience in delivery of quality documentation on a tight schedule;
· Strong and diverse training skills;
· Expert experience in developing and conducting adult computer training including training on customized computer applications;
· Excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical and writing skills;
· Excellent planning and organization abilities;
· Strong problem resolution skills; good judgment on how to proceed with issues with limited direction;
· Some system testing experience;
· Motivated and goal-oriented, self-driven to keep to project's objectives;
· Ability to take direction and carry out instructions;
· Possess a strong attention to detail;
· Proficient with Windows XP and other MS applications (Word, Access, Project, Outlook, PowerPoint);
· Experience with WebWorks, ROBOHELP, Visio and/or Adobe Captivate would be advantageous.
